my feet hurt.

Spent 3 hours in the morning at ROM (Royal Ontario Museum). The exhibitions were absolutely awesome and I got to see an actual mummy! I’d never been close to one, and I my nose was literary all over her… my nose was glued to the protection glass. This on the Egyptian exhibition, of course. Also loved the Biodiversity one, specially the bug’s part. All the animals were so realistic, it seemed they might just jump on me. I laughed my eyes out when my grandmother screamed when she saw the living earthworms. She didn’t even see the cockroaches… they were kinda cool, looked funny. I couldn’t help but to think of Patty, because she has cockroach-phobia! I laughed even more when I tried to imagine her having a panic attack. But the Bat Cave freaked me out. It was so dark, and had flashes when you moved to some areas… the bats looked so real, and it seemed as though they’d attack me.

Went to Indigo in the afternoon. Bought 3 books: one with poems by William Blake: “The Meat Eaters” by Michael Collins; And the classic “Lolita” by Vladimir Nabokov. I like Blake’s poems, and I only read 3 pages of “The Meat Eaters”, so… When I finish them I might write some reviews, I don’t know. I just feel I need to read a lot in English, because I have to improve my English writing.

I’m just to freaking tired right now. I haven’t got much sleep lately, but again, it’s my fault. Two nights ago I wanted to go to bed early, but them I was zapping through all the channels (like I usually do when the freaking commercials start) when I came across a “vampire version of Tom Cruise”. Actually, it was Tom Cruise playing Lestat, on “Interview with a Vampire”. I’d always wanted to watch that film, but never really did, for no special reason. I was like, “I’ll just watch it for a little bit, and then watch it all from the beginning” as it looked like it was already in the middle of it. But I just could stop watching it! Of course, who could take their eyes of that vampiresque Brad Pitt, with his long hair, seductive look – …?! He was actually really great on that film, really good acting indeed. I just loved it. And I spent the whole movie trying to figure out who was that young actress playing Claudia… I haven’t checked yet, though. It looked like a fusion of Kirsten Durst and Alison Lohman. So weird. But I’m almost sure it was Kirsten, so young though. I’ll just google it then. … … Yep, Kirsten!
As I was saying, I only got to go back when the film ended, at 2:30 a.m. (late if you keep in mind I had woke up at 7:30 a.m. that day). Then yesterday I watch a really dumb show I watch on Sunday (just because there’s no Jay Leno and Connan O’Brien), called “Fight for Fame” on star. So STUPID! Anyhow, went to bed at 1:30 a.m. (had woke up at 8 a.m. that day). And today, we had to get out of the house early because the cleaning lady was coming to of course do what a cleaning lady does. So at 8:30 a.m. we were at the streetcar stop. Wandered around until the museum was opened, at 10 a.m. and I didn’t even get any coffee nor diet coke.

But anyways, today was a great laugh, not only at ROM, but also at Indigo. It happens that I found this book called “Woof!: A Gay Man’s Guide to Dogs ” by Andrew Deprisco, and it intrigued me because it didn’t make any sense in my head. Why would gay men need a guide to dogs? What does that even mean??

Another laugh?? My grandparents are actually sleeping all over the couch. They’re supposed to be watching an international Portuguese channel… the creepiest and shittiest channel that is, with this weird voiced lady presenting some Portuguese Day Festival. *rolls eyes*

I’ll just go play that stupid game again until I have something better to do.

Rita.
